ABOUT ME

A native New Yorker, Laura Gourdine holds an M.F.A. in Acting from the New School for Drama and a B.A. in History (with honors) from Brown University. She enjoys collaborating on new & contemporary plays, classical plays and television. Recent roles include: a co-star role on Law and Order: Special Victims Unit’s 20th season, Ida B. Wells in Speranza Theater Company’s History Alive: Votes for Women, and in the annual play readings with the Cherry Picking Festival. She has enjoyed performing on stage at the Old Vic Theatre, St. Ann’s Theater, the Main Stage at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, being directed by Austin Pendleton and Adam Rapp, and being taught by Denis O’Hare, Bill Irwin and Betty Buckley.

When she is not performing on stage or on camera, you will find her recording voiceovers, singing in her church choir, playing the piano or traveling around the world.
